Directory of NZAPH
Approved Clinical Hypnotherapists
Public Notice
“NZAPH membership is not the same as statutory registration. Hypnotherapists are not registered under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act. NZAPH membership indicates that the practitioner has committed to training, supervision, continuing education and ethical practice, but does not equate to government licensing.”
Only NZAPH Professional Members who have opted to appear in this public directory are listed below.
Some of these practitioners offer online hypnotherapy sessions, allowing you to access professional support no matter where you are located in New Zealand, or the world.
Click on each practitioner's name to view more information about their qualifications, areas of specialisation, and contact details.
Understanding Membership Levels
Each member listed in this directory has been formally vetted and approved by the New Zealand Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (NZAPH). Our membership levels reflect a practitioner’s training, clinical experience, and professional engagement:
NZAPH Graduate Member – GMNZAPH
These members have completed a recognised hypnotherapy training programme that meets NZAPH’s educational standards. They are in the early stages of clinical practice, working under supervision, and are building their experience.
NZAPH Professional Member – PMNZAPH
Professional Members have completed significant clinical hours, meet supervision and CPD requirements, and demonstrate ethical, client-centred practice across a wide range of issues.
NZAPH Registered Professional Member – RPMNZAPH
Registered Members have met the highest standards set by NZAPH. This includes police vetting, current first aid certification, indemnity and liability insurance, and an ongoing commitment to supervision and CPD.
