Morella Lascurain graduated Magna Cum Laude from medical school in 1993 and gained experience in general practice, emergency care and orthopaedic surgery in Venezuela, her country of origin.
Many years witnessing the evolution of sickness and recovery in her patients taught her that emotions and how people respond to the stresses in life often trigger or aggravate physical illness. This discovery led her to pivot from conventional medicine to train in more holistic ways to facilitate healing. Having completed postgraduate studies in MindBody Healthcare at AUT University and trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Strategic Coaching and Ayurveda, she has specialised in MindBody therapy since 2004. In her practice, she teaches people how to train their mind to help their body heal.
She is a co-founder and director of Mother-Well Holistic Health, a healthcare centre in Auckland, New Zealand, where a multidisciplinary team has been serving the community for almost 20 years. She is an experienced educator, having lectured for many years at Wellpark College of Natural Therapies and South Pacific College of Natural Medicine.
She is not registered to practice medicine in New Zealand and will not diagnose, give medical advice or prescribe.
