Criteria / Requirements

An individual who.

1.Has completed 300 hours of clinical practice and a minimum of three (3) years in practice.

2.Has completed a minimum of 12 monthly 1:1 clinical supervision sessions each year for at least eighteen (18) months.

3.Undergoes ongoing clinical supervision.

4.Completes CPD of 30 hours per year.

5.Has a current first aid certification.

6.Has Indemnity and Public Liability insurance

7.Obtains a Police clearance.

Membership Rights

1.Participation in networking and discussion groups.

2.Peer support.

3.May use the NZAPH logo and/or the abbreviation “RPMNZAPH” / “R.P.M.N.Z.A.P.H”

4.Inclusion in the online NZAPH Therapist Directory.

5.Right to Vote.

6.Eligible to stand for committee

7.Eligible to be on the Board of Examiners.

Public Notice:

“NZAPH membership is not the same as statutory registration. Hypnotherapists are not registered under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act. NZAPH membership indicates that the practitioner has committed to training, supervision, continuing education and ethical practice, but does not equate to government licensing.”

I will not take any action or make any omission or make any statement whether written or verbal that may create any liability in respect of the Association; nor will I bring the Association into disrepute or in any way affect its credibility. 2. In the event that any party takes any action in which the Association is named a Defendant or as a party against which any claim of any sort is brought due to any action in which I have been involved solely or in conjunction with any party or parties whether or not that party or parties are other members of the Association, then I hereby undertake to indemnify the Association against all such claims, actions, costs, or liabilities howsoever arising to the fullest extent being aware that should any other party or parties be so involved who are other members then they shall share equally in such indemnity with me. This undertaking shall include any act or acts or statements which may have been done or made prior to the date on which this acknowledgement and undertaking has been dated back to and inclusive of this undertaking and indemnity. I have completed a minimum of fifteen (15) hours on-going training from 1st April 2023 to 1st April 2024 and my NZAPH P.D. log is complete and up to date and available for inspection. This year’s Professional Development log is attached. (This requirement applies only to Professional and practicing Honorary Life members - Please delete if not applicable.) 3. I have not had any criminal convictions since joining the organization. (Should this not be the case then the NZAPH committee needs to be advised of the nature of the convictions so that they can ascertain whether it affects the suitability of the candidate for continuing membership.) I make this declaration consciously, believing it to be true and by virtue of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957. Declaration I hereby declare that the information provided in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.
